X88 pro Basic analysis:
At the quick review level we can see the possible performance of the Wechip X88 Pro in a similar model that we have already analyzed. This model of Android TV-Box that can be used as a basic media player with KODI or IPTV and where we can also run simple games without too much demand for resources. We must remember that these cheap Boxes do not have secured support and do not have DRM certificates with which we can only see Netflix as a basic image.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Wechip X88 Pro Box, as we have already mentioned, has the new Soc Rockchip RK3318 that integrates four ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.5Ghz and a Mali-450 MP5 GPU that includes native decoding of H.265 and VP9 video up to 4K@60fps resolutions with support for HDR. It has versions with 2/4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16/32/64 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be extended by adding a memory card in the included microSD card reader.
At the level of wireless connections this TV-Box has WiFi b/g/ n and not have Bluetooth. On the sides of the box we have a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, analog AV jack, SPDIF digital audio output and an HDMI 2.0a port that allows up to 4K @ 60fps video resolutions. It includes the classic IR remote control and an HDMI cable.
Let's look at the positive look first. In today's society where priority is preferred, if you don't look beautiful, you lose half of your interest. The H96 max rk3318 tv box looks very cool, it is matched with purple and blue. The background color is black, and the gradient color looks more scientific and technological. If a word is used to describe this purple color, it is magical, right, it is the magic color. From this I have to admire this designer, the gradient is full of lines, a bit like Antarctic Aurora. We focus on the H96 max logo, which is not very different from before, but this time the design is very strong, blue and red are particularly conspicuous, the word "max" is very good.
SoC, RAM and storage
The new TV-Box H96 MAX integrates as engine the new Soch Rockchip RK3318 that has four processors ARM Cortex-A53 capable of reaching 1.5Ghz and a GPU Mali-450mp5 that includes native decoding of H.265 video and VP9 up to in 4K @ 60fps resolutions with support for HDR. It has versions with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32/64 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be extended by adding a memory card in the included microSD card reader.
Regarding wireless connections, this TV-Box has Dual Band WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. On the sides of the box we have a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, analog AV jack and an HDMI 2.0a port that allows up to 4K @ 60fps video resolutions. It includes the classic IR remote control and an HDMI cable.
Both models use the Rockchip rk3318 CPU, the parameters are basically the same. The appearance is different. This is for sure. It is chosen according to personal preference, but according to the data of the network, I prefer the H96 MAX RK3318. The X88 Pro does not have an LED display, and it lacks some functions. If you care about the clock display and WiFi display, then the H96 max rk3318 has these functions. They don't make much difference in size, they don't occupy a lot of area.
