Infomir clients’ testimonials

‘We strive to become the most valuable, affordable, and flexible partner for our customers by offering them the most competitive and relevant solutions. We value these same qualities in our long-term partner, Infomir’,

Alisher Kovalev,
Chief Development Officer, Aknet

‘We have been using MAG250 set-top boxes for five years already. The entire time, we had only a few product returns due to defects. Our tech support department gets hardly any tickets related to set-top box connection and control problems.

Alexei Munteanu,
former Vice President, Starnet

‘‘Quick launch was key to the success of our project. MultTV has managed to build a modern multi-component service with lots of complicated integrations’.

Luiz Gewers
Chief Technology Officer, MultTV

FAQ

Where are the MAG set-top boxes manufactured?
Infomir has production capacities in Ukraine and runs distribution centers in the UAE, Germany, and Switzerland to ensure efficient logistics globally.
Which operating systems are available?
Infomir’s devices run Linux and Android TV. We are also planning to integrate RDK by end-2021.
Which operators will be better off choosing Linux?
Linux set-top boxes are geared toward projects requiring a balance of costs, performance, and control over subscriber devices. It is an open-source OS that gives operators complete control over the UI and functionality of set-top boxes, enabling them to implement any integrations.

Unlike Android TV, Linux has no centralized app store or built-in voice search. Some companies consider this an advantage because subscribers have no means of installing competitors’ apps.

Which projects benefit from Android TV the most?
With Android TV, operators can offer voice control, personalized recommendations, Chromecast built-in, and Google Play Store’s catalog of over 7,000 games and apps to their subscribers.

In contrast to AOSP set-top boxes, every Android TV device passes mandatory certification by Google. Operators can thus rest assured that certified devices will get updates and function properly throughout their lifespan.

Joining the Android TV Operator Tier program, operators can fully customize the UI, appearance, and packaging of their devices.

Can the set-top boxes be customized?
We customize set-top box software and add branding on the device body, remote control, and packaging. Also, MAG devices can be integrated with most middleware solutions and content protection systems via APIs. To learn more about them, visit the customization page, or contact our sales department.
Who do I contact with technical questions?
Infomir managers are available to answer any questions you might have, even technical ones. Ask yours via our feedback form.
